Aeon has over 20 years of experience in the human services field—predominantly working with the developmental disability population. In his most recent position, Aeon worked as a program development director for a community-based non-profit organization where he was responsible for developing programs for the organization and facilitation of programs with various non-profit organizations that serve the developmentally disabled population.
Aeon holds a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Grand Canyon University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Brooklyn College, and an Associate degree in Applied Science with a discipline in Human Services from New York City Technical College.
Angelicka joined the team of Unique Care Community Services as Director of Development in March of 2016. Ms. James has BA from Mercy College and has over 13 years of experience working in the field of developmental disabilities. Ms. James worked for many years as Medicaid Service Coordinator Supervisor where she oversaw, trained and supervised nine (9) Service Coordinators with over 350 individuals across all five boroughs. In her role, Ms. James exercised collaborative leadership with stakeholders, individuals, families, and external providers to ensure seamless operations and achievement of operational goals.
Ms. James also brings with her skills as an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). She works with children with special needs, facilitating educational and supportive sessions with an emphasis on social skills development, as well as, tactics for conversation/interpersonal effectiveness. She uses techniques to reinforce positive learned behaviors with reward systems, incidental teaching and pivotal response training, Ms. James is working towards completion of her ABA certification at Capella University.
